Greetings to all scouting enthusiasts and prospective members! Pack 510 is your gateway to building a community with exciting adventures and skill-building experiences. Whether you're new to scouting or already part of our pack, we hope you'll find all the information you need right here on our website.
Based in Gladstone, Oregon, Pack 510 proudly serves all youth from kindergarten through 5th grade. We're chartered by the Gladstone Oak Lodge Rotary Foundation and are in the Timberline District within the Cascade Pacific Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
Our pack includes dens for all levels: Lions (Kindergarten), Tigers (1st Grade), Wolves (2nd Grade), Bears (3rd Grade), Webelos (4th Grade), and Arrow of Light (5th Grade). Each den meets weekly during the school year. During den meetings, Cub Scouts engage in organized activities aimed at fulfilling specific requirements across various scouting achievements. These requirements are designed to help scouts earn badges and advance in rank, focusing on skills like teamwork, outdoor survival, and learning essential scouting values through hands-on projects and games. Each scout progresses at their own pace, supported by den leaders and fellow scouts, fostering a sense of accomplishment and camaraderie within the pack.
Throughout the year, Pack 510 hosts a dynamic array of engaging Pack meetings and events that bring together scouts, families, and leaders in a shared spirit of community. These gatherings play a role in recognizing and celebrating scouts' accomplishments, including rank advancements, awards, and badges earned through their dedication. Beyond accolades, pack meetings enrich scouts' experiences with diverse activities, skits, songs, and presentations that reinforce scouting values and foster a love for learning. They also serve as opportunities for fun and fellowship, enabling scouts to build friendships across dens while participating in organized events like the Pinewood Derby, Raingutter Regatta, and seasonal campouts.
Our leadership and committee prepared an enriching program for the upcoming 2024-25 season. Be sure to check our developing Pack Calendar regularly for updates and details on all our activities.
